Project 2021 Standard is Microsoft’s purchase version of Project for Windows, built to help users plan, schedule, and monitor projects. It includes tools for task lists, resource assignment, progress tracking, and reports, making it suitable for structured project work on a local PC.
The Standard edition is more streamlined than Professional because it focuses on core desktop planning rather than enterprise collaboration. That makes it useful for users who do not need Project Server connectivity, online team updates, or portfolio-style management.
Microsoft sells it as a perpetual licence, meaning you buy it once and use it on the licensed device without recurring fees. This makes it appealing for buyers who want a fixed version with long-term use.
