Wasteland 3 is a squad-based, turn-based tactical RPG from inXile Entertainment, the studio behind the series that helped invent the post-apocalyptic RPG genre. It launched on August 28, 2020 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, and is the direct sequel to Wasteland 2.
The Arizona Desert Rangers are nearly wiped out and travel north to frozen Colorado, where the self-proclaimed Patriarch promises supplies in exchange for help bringing his rebellious children to heel. You build and lead a squad of up to six Rangers and companions, explore the snowbound ruins in an armored vehicle called the Kodiak, and make hard choices between rival factions. Every decision changes how Colorado's story plays out, so no two campaigns end the same way.
Combat is fully turn-based on a grid, built around Action Points, cover, flanking, and character builds. You can play alone or with a friend in online two-player co-op. Buying a Wasteland 3 CD key through Cdkeycompares lets you check prices from several verified sellers in one place so you pay less for the same game.
Deep Turn-Based Squad Combat: Command up to six Rangers on a grid using Action Points, cover, flanking, and status effects. Mix snipers, heavy gunners, medics, and tech experts to break tough encounters.
Choices With Real Consequences: Side with the Patriarch, his children, or rival factions. Your decisions shape settlements, close off quest paths, and lead to multiple endings.
Two-Player Online Co-op: Play the full campaign with a friend. Each player can explore, talk, and make choices on their own, even ones that clash with the other player.
The Kodiak Vehicle: Drive a customizable armored truck across the frozen Colorado map. Upgrade its armor, turret, and engine, and bring it into battle as extra firepower.
Flexible Character Builds: Create custom Rangers with attributes, skills, perks, and quirks. Skills like hacking, lockpicking, explosives, and Kiss Ass dialogue open new routes through quests.
Major Expansions: The Battle of Steeltown and Cult of the Holy Detonation add new regions, factions, and story arcs. Both are bundled in the Colorado Collection.
Critically Acclaimed: Holds a Metacritic score of 85 on PC, praised for its writing, darkly comic tone, and tactical depth.
