When the first Wasteland dropped in 1988, it set the blueprint for survival-focused, player-choice-driven RPGs. Decades later, funded by thousands of passionate fans via a legendary Kickstarter campaign, buying a Wasteland 2 digital key delivers that same uncompromising, mature design philosophy built inside a modern engine.
You control a squad of four custom-created Desert Rangers (plus up to three recruitable companion NPCs met in the wastes). The gameplay splits between exploration, text-rich dialogue trees, and highly tactical turn-based combat utilizing a grid system and Action Points ($AP$). Success requires a carefully balanced team; you will need specialized experts who can pick locks, repair toaster electronics, defuse explosive traps, or patch up bullet wounds. The game features two massive, completely distinct world maps: the arid, radiation-soaked deserts of Arizona and the mutated, overgrown ruins of coastal Los Angeles.
