Styx: Shards of Darkness is a third-person stealth action game developed by Cyanide Studio and originally published by Focus Home Interactive, now under Nacon. It released on March 14, 2017 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, and is the sequel to Styx: Master of Shadows.

You play as Styx, a sarcastic goblin assassin. His mission eventually leads him to Körangar, the city of the dark elves, where a mysterious alliance is forming. Large, vertical levels offer many routes to each objective.

Stealth is the focus. You can hide in shadows, climb and swing through rooftops, sneak past guards, or take them down quietly. Abilities such as invisibility and cloning let you scout and distract enemies.

A crafting system turns gathered materials into tools like acid traps and darts, and a skill tree shapes your playstyle. The campaign can be played alone or in two-player online co-op.

Levels contain optional objectives, hidden collectibles, and insignia challenges that reward speed, stealth, or avoiding kills. These encourage replaying missions with a different route or approach once you unlock more skills, and they help you earn extra points for upgrades.

It suits fans of classic stealth games, players who enjoy planning routes through open levels, and anyone who liked Master of Shadows.
