Developed by Cyanide Studio and published by Focus Entertainment, Styx: Master of Shadows is a prequel to the Of Orcs and Men series. Unlike many action-RPGs, the game places a heavy emphasis on pure stealth; Styx is small and physically fragile, meaning direct combat with human and elven guards is often lethal. Players must utilize verticality, shadows, and the magical properties of "Amber" to navigate massive, multi-layered levels. The game is celebrated for its organic pathfinding, allowing you to choose multiple ways to bypass obstacles, whether through silent assassinations, orchestrating "accidents," or purely ghosting through unseen.
Hardcore Stealth & Verticality: Move through shadows and scale huge environments with a strong sense of vertical freedom.
Amber-Powered Abilities: Consume Amber to unlock spectacular powers, including Invisibility, Amber Vision, and the ability to create and control a Clone to distract or trap guards.
RPG Progression: Unlock new skills across six unique skill-trees focused on stealth, assassination, and alchemy to optimize your playstyle.
Intricate Story: Explore the Tower of Akenash to piece together Styx’s forgotten past through a narrative filled with twists and dark revelations.
Organic Pathfinding: Large, open mission areas allow you to find your own route, rewarding exploration with hidden treasures and alternative paths.
