Developed by Grasshopper Manufacture and published by Deep Silver, Killer is Dead is a surreal, high-octane action experience bursting with the signature eccentric style of auteur game designer Goichi Suda (Suda51). Set in a neo-cyberpunk future where space tourism to the Moon is a reality, players command Mondo Zappa, a freshly recruited executioner working for the state-sanctioned Bryan Execution Firm. Wielding a brilliant katana in his right hand and a multi-functional cybernetic weapon block in his left, Mondo travels the globe to eliminate dangerous, corrupted assassins and monsters known as "Wires."
The game stands out immediately through its breathtaking, noir-infused cel-shaded art style, making every encounter feel like a living comic book. Combat is fast, fluid, and deeply rewarding, emphasizing well-timed dodges, shield breaks, and cinematic execution finishing strikes. The definitive Nightmare Edition on PC expands the core game by packing in the "Smooth Operator" DLC expansion—which features a bonus episode, extra glasses, and costumes—alongside an ultra-punishing Nightmare combat mode where enemies can only be defeated using specialized execution attacks. Finding a Killer is Dead Steam key on Cdkeycompares allows you to jump into this wild cult classic without paying premium platform retail prices.
