What is Grim Fandango Remastered?

Grim Fandango Remastered is Double Fine Productions' updated release of Tim Schafer's 1998 LucasArts point-and-click adventure, developed with Shiny Shoe and launched on Steam in January 2015. You play as Manny Calavera, a travel agent at the Department of Death who sells luxury travel packages to souls on their four-year journey to eternal rest. When the best clients start slipping through his fingers, Manny uncovers a conspiracy that threatens his own salvation.

The game blends film noir with Mexican Day of the Dead folklore, and its story unfolds over four years in the Land of the Dead. Play centers on dialogue, exploration and inventory puzzles. The remaster adds repainted high-resolution character textures, new dynamic lighting, a score re-recorded with a live orchestra, more than two hours of developer commentary and a concept art browser. It holds a Metacritic score of 84 on PC. A Grim Fandango Remastered CD key is an easy pick for adventure fans and anyone who enjoyed Double Fine's later work such as Broken Age or Psychonauts 2.
