Arma 3 is a military tactical shooter and simulation game developed and published by Bohemia Interactive. It was released on September 12, 2013 for PC, and it remains one of the most played military sandboxes on Steam thanks to ongoing updates and a very large modding scene.

The game drops you into a near-future conflict on the Mediterranean islands of Altis and Stratis. Firefights happen at realistic ranges, bullets drop over distance, and a single hit can end a mission, so movement, cover, and communication matter more than reflexes alone. You can fight on foot or take control of cars, armor, helicopters, jets, and boats.

Beyond the official campaign, Arma 3 is built to be shaped by players. The Eden Editor lets you build missions and scenarios in 3D, while the Zeus mode allows a game master to run a live operation for other players. Thousands of community missions, maps, and total conversions are available through the Steam Workshop.

Multiplayer is where many players spend most of their time. Arma 3 supports online and LAN co-op, competitive PvP modes, and large community servers that run organized operations with dozens of players in a single squad structure.

Arma 3 suits players who want slow, tactical combat, realistic military systems, and a sandbox they can extend with mods. Fans who started with Arma 2 will find the same core design with a modern engine and far better tools.
