XCOM 2: War of the Chosen is a transformative expansion that adds a wealth of new content to the base XCOM 2 campaign. As the fight against ADVENT intensifies, new resistance factions—the Reapers, Skirmishers, and Templars—emerge, each offering unique Hero classes to bolster your ranks. However, the aliens have deployed the "Chosen," persistent enemies who track your progress across the strategy layer and ambush you during tactical missions. Featuring new environments, enemies, and mission types, this expansion is widely considered the ultimate way to play XCOM 2.
New Factions & Hero Classes: Recruit the stealthy Reapers, the aggressive Skirmishers, and the psionic Templars to your squad.
The Chosen: Face off against unique bosses—the Assassin, Hunter, and Warlock—who evolve and gain new strengths as the campaign progresses.
The Lost & New ADVENT Threats: Navigate abandoned "Lost" cities filled with hordes of mutated humans and battle new enemies like the Spectre and Purifier.
Enhanced Strategy Layer: Manage faction relations, engage in Covert Actions, and utilize the SITREP system to add dynamic modifiers to missions.
Soldier Bonds: Develop deep relationships between your soldiers to unlock powerful tactical perks and dual-action abilities.
