Witchspire is Envar Games' debut title, a cozy open-world witch adventure that puts magic at the center of every survival mechanic. Instead of grinding with pickaxes, you summon forests to harvest wood, cast spells to extract minerals, and use dazzling magical displays to gather resources.
You and up to three friends become fully customizable witches or wizards after activating the titular Witchspire relic, trapping you in a land brimming with magic and danger. Travel by foot or fly on your broomstick across a large open world with multiple biomes, using abilities like Spirit Jumps and blinks for fluid vertical exploration.
The core gameplay loop combines exploration, magical combat, creature collecting, and base-building. Battle wild and corrupted creatures, then tame them to become familiars, magical companions that help in combat, base management, and exploration. You can collect dozens of familiars, each with unique skills to boost your actions or interact with the environment.
Witchspire presents a unique twist on base-building. Your base is a sanctuary haven, and building it uses "Astral Projection." You enter a mode where you float through the air and freely place structures from any angle or height, never needing ramps or makeshift stairs.
Begin by choosing your Coven (Cloudpiercers or Foretellers), each with specialized starting outfits and passive boosts. Define your spellcaster with extensive customization options, level up your character, and unlock the cosmic Luminaries tech tree for further ability upgrades. Upgradeable wands, trinkets, spells, and spellblades give you a plethora of combat options, with every weapon feeling noticeably different.
Witchspire is designed for players who enjoy indie survival games, cozy fantasy worlds, crafting systems, and magical creature companions. It removes stress factors like hunger and stamina management, inviting you to focus on creativity, combat, and magical progression.
