Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun is a first-person shooter developed by Auroch Digital and published by Focus Entertainment. It was released on May 23, 2023 for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

The game is built in the style of 1990s shooters, with pixel-art sprites, fast movement, and maze-like levels full of keys, secrets, and ammo pickups. You play as a Space Marine Sternguard Veteran sent to push back the forces of Chaos on Graia, the forge world first seen in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine.

Combat is simple to learn and loud. The boltgun is your signature weapon, joined by heavy guns such as a plasma gun and heavy bolter. A chainsword dash lets you close the gap and cut through enemies, and health and armor come from pickups rather than regeneration.

Boltgun is a single-player campaign spread across several chapters, with adjustable difficulty settings for newcomers and veterans. Levels reward exploration with hidden areas and extra items. The Forges of Corruption expansion adds more levels for players who finish the main story.

The game suits Warhammer 40,000 fans and anyone who enjoys classic boomer shooters with quick, arcade-style action.
