Vector Thrust is an arcade-style combat flight game developed by TimeSymmetry and published by Iceberg Interactive. It released on Steam for Windows PC on July 2, 2015.

Missions focus on fast dogfights and strikes against air, naval, and ground targets. Tactical AI reacts to the state of the battlefield, so missions rarely play out the same way twice, and some battles pit you against flying fortresses, super-weapons, and ace squadrons with their own tactics.

The game offers more than 260 playable aircraft, built from variations of over 45 aircraft models. You unlock them through a Challenge Mode with 170 challenges, which gives long-term goals beyond the main campaigns.

Content includes 13 story missions across a series of campaigns, a Quick Action mode, a customizable Skirmish mode, and multiplayer. Map, mission, and campaign editors plus Steam Workshop support let players create skins, change unit stats, and share full scenarios with the community, which keeps the game going well beyond the included campaigns.

Vector Thrust suits players who like Ace Combat-style flying with a distinctive cel-shaded look and anyone who enjoys modding or building their own missions. Its low system requirements also make it suitable for older PCs and modest laptops, and full controller support makes it comfortable to play with a gamepad.

Which version should you buy?

• PC only: Vector Thrust is a Windows PC game. There is no console, Mac, or Linux version.

• Activation: Keys activate on Steam, which also hosts the Steam Workshop content for the game.

• Controls: The game has full controller support, so a gamepad is a good alternative to keyboard and mouse.
