Valkyrie Elysium is an action role-playing game developed by Soleil and published by Square Enix. It launched on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 in September 2022, and the PC version followed on Steam in November 2022. It is the latest entry in the long-running Valkyrie series, moving the franchise to fully real-time, three-dimensional combat.
The story opens as Ragnarok, the End Times, threatens every realm. With the last of his strength, the All-Father Odin creates a Valkyrie whose only task is to save the doomed world. Combat centers on speed and combos: the Soul Chain lets you zip across the battlefield, the Arts Gauge fills as you keep attacks flowing, and spending it triggers powerful Divine Arts. You can also summon Einherjar, warrior spirits who fight beside you and grant elemental bonuses. Weapons, skills and Einherjar can all be upgraded to fit your style, and series veteran Motoi Sakuraba composed the soundtrack.
It suits players who want a focused, single-player action RPG with a Norse mythology setting. A Valkyrie Elysium CD key is the cheapest way in, and fans of the publisher's tactical side can also compare prices on Triangle Strategy. Trailers and edition details are on the official Valkyrie Elysium website.
High-Speed Action Combat: Fight in real time with fast, three-dimensional movement and long combo strings instead of the series' older turn-based systems.
Soul Chain: Use the Soul Chain to close distance and soar across the battlefield, linking movement directly into attacks.
Einherjar Summons: Call warrior spirits chosen by the Valkyrie to fight alongside you and grant elemental bonuses against enemy weaknesses.
Divine Arts: Build the Arts Gauge by keeping combos going, then spend it on powerful special techniques.
Upgrades and Customization: Improve weapons, skills, Einherjar and Divine Arts combinations to shape your own playstyle.
Norse Mythology Story: Play as Odin's emissary of redemption in a collapsing world on the brink of Ragnarok.
Motoi Sakuraba Score: The longtime series composer returns, and the PC version adds adjustable difficulty, Steam Cloud saves and full controller support.
