Trepang2 is a single-player first-person shooter developed by Trepang Studios and published by Team17. It was released on June 21, 2023 for PC, with later versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

You play as Subject 106, a soldier with no memory who is broken out of a heavily guarded black site. Enhanced far beyond human limits, you set out for revenge against the corporation that held you prisoner and uncover a threat even deadlier than yourself.

Combat is fast and physical. You can slow down time to dodge incoming fire, turn invisible with a cloak to take enemies by surprise, and slide, kick, and punch through rooms between gunfights. Weapons can be dual-wielded, and enemies react to every shot with detailed effects. Grabbing an enemy as a human shield is another option when you are outnumbered.

The campaign is built from missions you pick from a hub, with optional side jobs and harder difficulty settings that add replay value. Paid DLC adds extra content, including the Bladekisser expansion and a Survival Mode.

Trepang2 suits players who enjoy stylish, high-speed shooters in the vein of F.E.A.R., and who want a focused campaign rather than an online multiplayer game. Expect heavy violence and gore, and a campaign that rewards replaying missions on harder settings to sharpen your skills.
