Trek to Yomi is a side-scrolling action adventure developed by Leonard Menchiari and Flying Wild Hog and published by Devolver Digital. It released on May 5, 2022, for PC, PlayStation and Xbox. The game follows Hiroki, a young swordsman who vows to his dying master that he will protect his town and the people he loves. When tragedy strikes, the lone samurai must journey beyond life and death to confront himself and choose his path.
The presentation is built around the look of classic samurai cinema, with striking camera angles and a black-and-white visual style. Combat uses a streamlined system based on traditional samurai weapons, pitting you against vicious swordsmen and supernatural beings. The score is designed to fit the time and place of feudal Japan, and Japanese is available with full audio alongside Polish. It is a single-player experience with full controller support on PC.
Trek to Yomi suits players who want a focused, story-driven game with a strong visual identity. A Trek to Yomi CD key is often discounted. If you like Flying Wild Hog's faster, gorier side, see Shadow Warrior 3.
