Realm of the Wood Elves is a faction expansion for Total War: WARHAMMER, developed by Creative Assembly and published by SEGA.
The DLC introduces the Wood Elves as a playable faction, centered around their magical homeland of Athel Loren. Rather than following conventional empire-building mechanics, the Wood Elves use forests and magical connections to establish a unique campaign strategy.
Players can command powerful legendary lords such as Orion and Durthu, recruit specialized elven units, and use devastating ranged attacks, fast cavalry, monstrous creatures, and powerful forest spirits to destroy their enemies.
The DLC also introduces a dedicated campaign, Season of Revelation, along with new battle mechanics, technologies, buildings, legendary heroes, and units. Wood Elf armies can use the Worldroots to travel rapidly between magical forests, giving them an entirely different approach to campaign movement and expansion.
