The Textorcist: The Story of Ray Bibbia is an action game that combines bullet hell with a typing game. It was developed by indie studio Morbidware, published by Headup, and released on February 14, 2019 for Windows PC and macOS on Steam.

You play as Ray Bibbia, a private exorcist facing a demonic outbreak in a decaying, crime-ridden Rome. Each encounter is a boss fight. You steer Ray around the arena to dodge waves of bullets while typing out the words of an exorcism to damage the demon.

The challenge comes from doing both at once. One hand moves, the other types, and every hit or typo breaks your rhythm. Bosses add their own twists, such as defusing bombs, dodging puddles, and even singing into a microphone at a metal show.

You can type on a keyboard or enter text with a gamepad. The game is single-player only, and its story follows Ray as he uncovers a plot inside the powerful Holy Church while dealing with his own sinful past. Expect dark humor, odd characters, and plenty of jokes alongside the action.

The Textorcist suits players who enjoy hard boss rushes, unusual control schemes, and typing games with a twist. Fast typists have an advantage, but practice and pattern reading matter just as much.
