The Ramp is a small indie skateboarding game made by a single developer, Paul Schnepf, and published by hyperparadise. It released on Steam on August 3, 2021, and holds a Metacritic score of 82. The developer calls it a digital toy rather than a full game, and that describes it well: you drop into a vert ramp and skate, with nothing standing between you and the flow of carving, pumping and launching airs.
There are no unlockables, no score attack, no missions and no story. The focus is on capturing the feel of real-life vert skateboarding through controls that are easy to learn and hard to master. Sessions are meant to be short, the kind of 15-minute break that resets a long day. The game supports keyboard input, but the developer recommends playing with a controller for the best feel. If you want a full trick-and-combo career mode, a series like Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 is a better match.
Because it is a compact, low-cost download with modest hardware needs, a The Ramp Steam key is an easy pick for skaters, fans of relaxing games and anyone who wants a quick flow-state session between bigger titles.
