The Last Campfire is a puzzle adventure game developed and published by Hello Games, the studio behind No Man's Sky. It released on August 27, 2020 for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, and arrived on Steam on October 7, 2021.

You play as a small lost ember trapped in a strange place beyond a dark forest. The goal is to find meaning, help others who have lost hope, and eventually light the last campfire. A narrator tells the story like a storybook as you travel.

Gameplay centers on environmental puzzles. Each area holds forlorn embers that you help by solving self-contained puzzle rooms, often by moving blocks, using objects, or changing the world around you. There is no combat, so progress comes from observation and logic.

The world is filled with lost folk, odd creatures, and old ruins, shown in a soft, colorful art style. The game is a single-player experience and works well in short sessions, since puzzles are split into separate rooms.

The Last Campfire suits players who enjoy relaxed puzzle games, gentle storytelling, and games without violence or time pressure. It is also a good pick for younger players and families.
