The Forever Winter is an Early Access tactical survival shooter developed and published by Fun Dog Studios.

Set in a horrifying post-apocalyptic future, humanity has been reduced to scavengers trapped between massive military factions and colossal war machines. Players are not heroes or elite soldiers — they are survivors trying to loot the dead, gather supplies, and stay alive while gigantic AI-controlled armies wage endless war around them.

One of the game's defining features is its Dynamic Encounter System. Enemy factions fight their own battles, pursue objectives, and react intelligently to player actions, creating unpredictable battlefields where no two missions unfold the same way. Players must carefully choose when to engage, hide, scavenge, or flee.

The Forever Winter blends extraction shooter mechanics, survival systems, horror atmosphere, cooperative gameplay, and tactical decision-making. Rather than focusing on becoming powerful, players constantly struggle against overwhelming threats while managing resources, upgrading their underground base, and surviving in a world where they are insignificant compared to the machines dominating the battlefield.

The game has attracted significant attention for its unique world design, oppressive atmosphere, massive enemies, and challenging co-op gameplay, earning Mostly Positive user reviews on Steam during Early Access.
