Released in June 2024, Gold Road serves as the narrative conclusion to the threads started in the Necrom Chapter. For the first time in the series, a new Daedric Prince is introduced to the lore. The expansion's flagship feature is Scribing, a precursor to Spellcasting that allows players to collect and customize skills by altering their primary, secondary, and tertiary effects.
In 2026, Gold Road remains a vital part of the ESO experience as the game transitions into its new Seasonal Model. With the launch of Season Zero: Dawn & Dusk in early 2026, the developers have integrated several older DLCs (like Orsinium, Thieves Guild, and Dark Brotherhood) into the base game, making Gold Road the perfect bridge into the new era of free seasonal content drops.
