The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk: The Amulet of Chaos is a turn-based tactical RPG developed by Artefacts Studio and published by Dear Villagers. It launched on PC on September 17, 2020, followed by PS4, Xbox One, and Switch in 2021, and PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on December 3, 2021.

The game adapts the Naheulbeuk universe created by French author John Lang, which began as a popular audio comedy series parodying fantasy and tabletop role-playing clichés. Its humor is built around a team of heroes who are inexperienced, quarrelsome, and often useless.

You control seven classic characters: the Ranger, the Elf, the Dwarf, the Barbarian, the Magician, the Ogre, and the Thief, plus one of three extra companions. Each hero has a skill tree, and combat rewards combining their abilities on a grid. Team members can support each other in battle, so positioning and turn order matter.

Battles are turn-based, with more than 100 enemy types, boss fights, and breakable objects such as beer kegs that cause status effects. Difficulty ranges from a relaxed story mode to a punishing nightmare mode. Between fights you explore the dungeon, solve puzzles, and avoid traps. The game is single-player.

It suits fans of tactical RPGs like Divinity: Original Sin or XCOM who want a lighter, comedic tone.
