The Big Con is a narrative adventure game developed by Mighty Yell and published by Skybound Games. It released on August 31, 2021, for PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, and holds a Metacritic score of 77. The story follows Ali, a sarcastic high schooler who ditches band camp and heads out on a cross-country road trip to raise enough money to save her family's video store from loan sharks.
The core loop is about hustling. You pickpocket people in crowded areas, eavesdrop on conversations to learn about your marks, put on disguises and set up larger grifts that involve sneaking, lockpicking and smooth talking. You also decide who deserves to be conned and who could use a helping hand. An expert grifter coaches Ali along the way, and you still have to call your mom now and then. The whole trip is wrapped in a 1990s look full of plaid, payphones, VHS tapes and malls, with a sitcom tone.
A The Big Con CD key is a good pick for players who like story-led adventures with humor and light stealth. Find more details on the official The Big Con website.
