The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is an open-world superhero action game developed by Beenox and published by Activision.
Set in a fictionalized version of Manhattan, the game allows players to take control of Peter Parker / Spider-Man as he protects the city from criminals, gangs, and supervillains.
The game expands on the web-swinging and free-roaming gameplay of its predecessor. Players can travel around Manhattan by swinging between skyscrapers, climb buildings, perform acrobatic movements, and engage enemies using Spider-Man's combination of punches, kicks, dodges, and web abilities.
The game features an original storyline inspired by the movie while introducing additional characters and villains. A Hero or Menace system also tracks Spider-Man's reputation based on the player's actions throughout the city.
