Tempest 4000 is an arcade tube shooter developed by Llamasoft, the studio of veteran designer Jeff Minter, and published by Atari. It released on July 17, 2018 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game is a modern take on Atari's classic Tempest arcade cabinet and keeps the fast pace of the original.
You control the Claw, a ship that moves around the rim of vibrant geometric shapes and fires down into them to destroy creatures and obstructions climbing toward you. The game includes 100 levels and three game modes, and the goal is to clear enemies as fast as possible to survive and post high scores on the online leaderboards. Its visuals support 4K resolution, and it holds a Metacritic score of 76 on PC.
A Tempest 4000 CD key is a strong pick for arcade and score-attack fans, especially those who know Minter's earlier Tempest 2000. It runs on modest hardware and supports full controller play. See the official Tempest 4000 site for more.
