Tandem: A Tale of Shadows is a puzzle platformer developed by Monochrome Paris and published by Hatinh Interactive. It released on October 20, 2021. Young Emma teams up with Fenton, a living teddy bear, to solve the disappearance of the famous magician Thomas Kane and uncover the secrets of the strange Kane family.
The core idea is a dual perspective. Emma moves in a top-down view, and her light casts shadows that Fenton walks on in a side-scrolling view. You alternate between the two to clear obstacles, activate mechanisms and avoid threats. The adventure spans five Victorian-inspired worlds with a dark, chiaroscuro art style inspired by Tim Burton, Jules Verne and Arthur Conan Doyle. It holds a Metacritic score of 73 on PC.
A Tandem: A Tale of Shadows CD key fits players who enjoy atmospheric, logic-driven platformers over action-heavy ones. It is single-player and runs on Windows and Linux. Visit the official Tandem website for trailers and studio news.
