Tabletop Simulator is a multiplayer-focused simulation game that recreates the feel of a real tabletop on PC. You can pick up, rotate, throw, and interact with objects using physics, then build your own games with custom boards, cards, models, and scripts.
The base experience includes 15 built-in classics such as Chess, Poker, Dominoes, Mahjong, and Solitaire. It also supports thousands of community-made Workshop mods, which makes it popular for both casual players and serious tabletop hobbyists. The game is also useful for RPG groups, since it includes an RPG Kit, modular tiles, and tools for game masters.
Tabletop Simulator supports online play for up to 10 players, plus local hot-seat play. It is a strong choice for anyone who wants a flexible tabletop platform instead of a single fixed game.

Objects behave like real tabletop items: you can pick up cards, dice, chips, and tokens, throw them, stack them, and flip the table. Physics determines how items roll, slide, bounce, and collide, giving a natural board-game feel without scripted animations.
The game integrates directly with Steam Workshop, letting you browse, download, and publish thousands of user-created mods. These include board game recreations, RPG maps, card decks, custom tokens, and scripted mini-games. You can subscribe to mods and use them instantly in your rooms.
Tabletop Simulator supports online sessions with up to 10 players in a single room. Each player can see and interact with the same tabletop in real time, with synchronized physics and object states. You can create private rooms, invite friends, or join public games.
The game also supports local hot-seat play on one PC, where multiple players share the same keyboard/mouse and take turns. This is useful for casual play with friends or family who don’t have separate PCs.
You can write Lua scripts to automate game rules, deal cards, track scores, manage turns, and enforce win conditions. This enables fully playable digital versions of complex board games and RPG mechanics, not just visual simulations.
You can create your own custom game boards, card decks, and token sets using the built-in editor. The game supports importing custom 3D models (NUM, OBJ, etc.), textures, and sound files, allowing near-total customization of the tabletop experience.
The RPG Kit includes modular floor tiles, doors, walls, and furniture to build dungeons and campaign maps. It supports random generation, layering, and custom terrain, making it suitable for D&D-style tabletop RPG sessions.
Tabletop Simulator includes built-in voice and text chat, so players can talk directly while playing. You can set up team-based chat, global chat, or private channels, improving coordination during strategy games and RPGs.
You can save entire game states, including board layout, card positions, and object placements, and restore them later. This is useful for paused campaigns, incomplete games, or recurring scenarios like custom RPG maps.
The game master or room owner can control who can move objects, add/remove players, lock certain areas, and manage permissions. Admin tools help prevent cheating, enforce rules, and organize structured game sessions or tournaments.
