Starship Troopers: Extermination is a co-op first-person shooter developed and published by Offworld Industries, the studio behind Squad. After a period in Early Access, version 1.0 launched on October 10, 2024 for PC, with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions arriving the next day.

Up to 16 players drop onto alien planets as Deep Space Vanguard troopers. Each mission asks squads to secure ground, complete high-stakes objectives, and survive relentless waves of Arachnids while holding key positions.

Base building is central to the loop. Troopers gather resources, build refineries, and put up walls, towers, and ammo stations in real time. The Carnage System leaves bug corpses on the battlefield, so the ground itself changes as a fight goes on.

Players choose from six classes, each with its own weapons, perks, and progression. Maps feature hazards such as sandstorms and volcanic terrain, and cross-platform multiplayer lets PC and console players fight together.

The game suits fans of the Starship Troopers films and anyone who enjoys large-scale co-op shooters where teamwork and fortification matter as much as aim. It also works well for groups who want a shared, long-term progression goal.
