Star Wars: Episode I: Jedi Power Battles is a side-scrolling lightsaber action game remastered by Aspyr, which also publishes it. The remaster launched on January 23, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. It brings back the original 2000 game based on Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.

You fight through a 10-level campaign that follows the events of the film, from the Trade Federation ship to the battle for the Theed Royal Palace. Lightsaber combos, blaster deflection and Force powers are used against battle droids, destroyer droids, assassins and creatures.

The playable roster includes Mace Windu, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Plo Koon, Adi Gallia and Qui-Gon Jinn. Characters that were once hidden, such as Darth Maul, Captain Panaka, Queen Amidala, Ki-Adi-Mundi and a Battle Droid, are available from the start, and the Tusken Raider joins as a new option.

The whole campaign and the bonus mini-games can be played with a friend in two-player local co-op. On PC, Steam Remote Play Together lets a friend join online. Quality-of-life additions include a choice of classic or modern controls, New Game+, lightsaber color toggles and classic cheat codes like Big Head Mode.

It suits Star Wars fans, retro collectors and anyone who wants a short, replayable co-op brawler for the couch.
