This ROM hack takes the existing gameplay engine, level layouts, and mechanics of Konami's Ninja Five-O/Ninja Cop and replaces the main character's sprites and theming with Spider-Man, explicitly inspired by the aesthetic of old unlicensed "bootleg" cartridge hacks that were common in the Game Boy Advance homebrew scene. Because it is a graphical and thematic reskin rather than a full engine rebuild, the underlying stealth-platforming gameplay, level structure, and difficulty curve of the original Ninja Five-O remain intact, with Spider-Man's sprite substituted throughout combat, movement, and cutscene sequences.

To install and play the hack correctly, users are required to apply the patch specifically to the European ROM release, known as Ninja Cop, rather than the US version titled Ninja Five-O, as the patch was built against that specific ROM's file structure. The hack has been recognized in several retro-gaming and ROM-hacking community roundups as one of the more well-executed character-reskin hacks for the Game Boy Advance, with reviewers noting that "Spider-Man truly looks like he belongs in this game" given how well the sprite work was integrated into the source material. As of its listing on RomHacking.net, the hack has been downloaded over 1,150 times, and it continues to circulate through ROM-hacking archives and community-curated "best hacks" lists for handheld emulation devices and FPGA-based retro hardware.
