Space Engineers is an open-world sandbox game developed by Keen Software House, centered on engineering, construction, and survival. Set in a near-future space program environment, players build space ships, space stations, and planetary outposts of all sizes for civil or military use. Featuring a realistic, volumetric-based physics engine, the game allows for total destructibility—every block can be damaged, disassembled, or obliterated. Whether in Creative or Survival mode, your success depends on your ability to harness technology and physics to survive the hazards of the cosmos.
Volumetric Physics Engine: Experience realistic mass, inertia, and damage. Ships break apart block-by-block, and terrain can be carved, drilled, or blasted.
Planets and Moons: Explore fully persistent and destructible celestial bodies featuring unique atmospheres, gravity, and climate zones.
Infinite Construction: Use over 200 functional blocks—including thrusters, rotors, pistons, and programmable blocks—to build complex automated machinery.
Survival & Creative Modes: Focus on resource management and oxygen levels in Survival, or enjoy unlimited building and invulnerability in Creative.
Multiplayer Exploration: Play solo or join dedicated servers with up to 16 players (PC) for co-op construction or competitive faction warfare.
Extensive Modding Support: Access a massive Steam Workshop featuring thousands of community-created ships, scripts, and mods to expand your universe.
