Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley is a musical adventure game developed by Hyper Games and published by Raw Fury. It was released on March 7, 2024 for Windows PC, macOS and Nintendo Switch, followed by PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on December 17, 2024.

You play as Snufkin, the wandering musician from Tove Jansson’s Moomin stories. He returns to find the valley covered in strict new parks built by the Park Keeper, and Moomintroll has gone missing. Your goal is to restore the valley and help its residents.

The game avoids violence. Instead, Snufkin pulls up signs, knocks over statues and sneaks past park wardens. His harmonica is the key tool: playing melodies calms creatures, inspires characters and opens new paths. Exploration, light stealth and puzzle solving fill the time between story scenes.

The hand-drawn storybook art and soundtrack are standout features. The music includes tracks by Icelandic band Sigur Rós alongside original compositions by Oda Tilset. Snufkin is a single-player adventure, and the Fuddler’s Courtship DLC adds an extra story chapter.

Moominvalley is split into open areas you can wander freely, with residents to help and hidden spots to discover. It suits Moomin fans, players looking for a calm and wholesome adventure, and families who want a gentle game without combat.
