Built on a powerful new 64-bit engine, Sins of a Solar Empire II delivers scale and tactical detail previously impossible. The game moves away from static maps to a Dynamic Galaxy, where the movement of celestial bodies can turn a secure backdoor into a direct invasion route over the course of a match.
Real-Time 4X: There are no turns and no separate "battle modes." Manage your empire’s economy, research, and diplomacy in the same real-time space where your massive fleets engage in cinematic combat.
Tactical Combat Simulation: Every missile and turret is fully simulated. Capital ships feature individual turrets with their own tracking speeds, making ship positioning and "body blocking" with Titans critical tactical maneuvers.
Three Evolved Races: Choose between the TEC, Vasari, and Advent, each further divided into two sub-factions (like the xenophobic TEC Primacy or the resource-hungry Vasari Exodus) with unique units and mechanics.
Orbiting Planets: Strategies must account for time; a planet that is a close ally now may orbit to the far side of the sun, leaving you isolated and vulnerable.
Minor Factions & Auctions: Interact with minor factions to secure borders, trade for rare resources, or win powerful items through a competitive auction system.
Advanced Fleet Management: The new UI allows you to request specific reinforcements on the fly, which are automatically built at the nearest factory and rallied to your fleet.
10-Player Multiplayer: A cloud-based system supports seamless "join-in-progress" and rejoining, making massive online matches more stable than ever.
