The Sims™ 4 Discover University is the eighth expansion pack for The Sims 4, released on November 15, 2019 for PC. It brings college life back to The Sims franchise, allowing players to enroll their Sims in university, choose majors, attend classes, and experience dorm life or campus commuting. The pack introduces new skills, careers, aspirations, and social activities centered around university life.
The game features the world of Britechester, a new university town home to two rival campuses: the University of Britechester (historic and traditional) and the Foxbury Institute (modern and tech-focused). The two schools have a long-term rivalry, and your choice affects school pride events, social groups, and campus culture.
Sims can pursue 13 different degrees ranging from Art History and Economics to Drama and Villainy. Your Sim's course choices and performance directly impact future career success in fields like Engineering, Education, and Law. Attendance and study habits matter, as missing classes can lower grades and lead to failing.
Players can live in dormitories or off-campus housing, decorate dorm rooms with student-themed furniture, and participate in campus activities like robotics clubs, debate teams, art groups, and even join a mysterious secret society. Dorm life includes roommates, late-night study sessions, parties, and school spirit events.
New features include bike riding, jukebox social activities, soccer ball juggling, and the return of the Servo life state (robot Sim). University aspirations, skills, and social interactions add depth to the college experience, making it a rich simulation of student life.
The Sims 4 Discover University is available on PC, Mac, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. On PC, the pack can be activated through EA Play (Origin) or Steam.
