Shadows: Heretic Kingdoms is an isometric action RPG developed by Slovak studio Games Farm and published by Kalypso Media. It released on PC on November 20, 2014 and continues the Heretic Kingdoms saga 20 years after Kult: Heretic Kingdoms. It holds a Metacritic score of 74.
The story opens after four members of a secret order, the Penta Nera, are murdered and their souls taken by Devourers. The surviving fifth member summons another Devourer for revenge. You play this demon, who can absorb several souls and bring them back as puppets. Your party is built from these devoured characters, and you can switch between them in battle, each with a different combat style.
A core mechanic is moving between two worlds: the mortal realm and a darker shadow world with its own enemies and mystic puzzles. Choices affect how the story plays out. A Shadows: Heretic Kingdoms CD key fits players who like classic isometric RPGs with a party twist. Its successor, Shadows: Awakening, builds on the same setting. See the official Steam page for details.
