ROUTINE is a first-person sci-fi horror game developed by Lunar Software and published by Raw Fury. After a long development, it launched on December 4, 2025 for PC and Xbox Series X|S, and it was included in Game Pass at release.

The game is set on a lunar base designed around a retro-futuristic 1980s look, full of chunky terminals and analog technology. When the base goes silent, you arrive to investigate, and curiosity quickly turns into a fight to survive against a threat that sees you as the enemy.

ROUTINE avoids waypoint markers and most on-screen interface elements. You find your way by observing the environment, reading data, and piecing together what happened. Areas range from decaying living quarters and tram stations to an abandoned shopping mall.

Your main tool is the Cosmonaut Assistance Tool, or C.A.T., which accesses terminals, helps you navigate, and identifies clues. It can also be used as a last-resort defense, but running and hiding are usually the safer choices. Full body awareness and diegetic audio add to the tension.

The game is single-player. It suits horror fans who prefer atmosphere, exploration, and slow-building dread over action, and players who enjoy figuring things out on their own without hand-holding or objective markers.

Which version should you buy?

• PC: Most PC keys activate on Steam. A 64-bit Windows 10 system and about 10 GB of storage are required.

• Xbox: Xbox codes are redeemed on a Microsoft account. Check whether a listing is for Xbox Series X|S or the Windows Store version.

• Edition: ROUTINE is sold as a single standard edition, so offers should include the full game.
