Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is a third-person action-adventure game developed by Asobo Studio and published by Focus Entertainment. It launched on August 27, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, and is a prequel to A Plague Tale: Innocence and Requiem.

The story is set in 1334, around 15 years before Innocence. You play as Sophia, the smuggler and fighter first met in Requiem, who travels from medieval France to the Greek island of Crete and discovers her link to the ancient history of the Prima Macula curse.

Compared with earlier entries, Resonance puts more weight on combat, with parries and finishing moves alongside exploration and puzzles. A dual-timeline mechanic lets you shift between the Middle Ages and the Minoan era to uncover ruins, labyrinth paths, and secrets.

The setting moves from French towns to Cretan coasts, Minoan ruins, and a mythical labyrinth tied to the Minotaur. It is a single-player, story-focused experience with extensive accessibility options.

Sophia's agility and fighting skill shape how encounters play out, with exploration and puzzle-solving broken up by close combat built around parries and counters. The story explores the roots of the curse that later shapes the lives of Amicia and Hugo.

It suits fans of the A Plague Tale series and players who like cinematic adventures with myth, history, and a strong lead character.
