Resident Evil 5 is a third-person action shooter developed and published by Capcom. Moving away from the dark shadows of previous titles, the game brings the horror out into the blazing sunlight of a fictional West African region. Players control Chris Redfield, a seasoned agent of the Bio-terrorism Security Assessment Alliance (B.S.A.A.), and his partner Sheva Alomar. Together, they must investigate an agent that is transforming the local populace into aggressive, mutated creatures.
The title is famous for being the first main series game designed entirely around two-player cooperative gameplay. Whether playing solo with an AI partner or with a friend online or in split-screen, players must manage their inventory in real time, trade items, and survive massive hordes of dangerous enemies while uncovering the truth behind a conspiracy tied to Albert Wesker and the remnants of the Umbrella Corporation.
Two Playable Characters: Play as Chris Redfield or new series addition Sheva Alomar, each bringing their own perspectives and skills to the fight.
Online and Split-Screen Co-op: Experience revolutionary two-player cooperative gameplay, allowing you to share items and cover each other's backs during intense encounters.
Action-Oriented Combat: Use an extensive arsenal including shotguns, rifles, and grenade launchers, and engage in high-octane Quick-Time Events and boss battles.
Real-Time Inventory System: Manage your inventory in real time while navigating the battlefield, assigning items directly to the D-pad for quick access.
The Mercenaries Mode: Test your survival skills in the popular arcade-style minigame where you must defeat as many enemies as possible before the time runs out.
