Requiem: Avenging Angel is a 3D first-person shooter developed by Cyclone Studios. It first came out in 1999, and this digital edition from Ziggurat arrived on Steam on July 7, 2016, packaged to run on modern Windows versions. The setting is a futuristic Earth caught in a holy war between Heaven's Chosen and Hell's Fallen Angels.
You play Malachi, a Chosen angel sent to stop the Fallen from destroying Creation. Gunplay is only half the toolset: as the story progresses you gain angelic powers such as Bloodboil, Lightning, Flight, Holy Light and the ability to turn enemies into pillars of salt. Seven weapons round out the arsenal, including the Trinity combat shotgun, the Beelzebomb grenade launcher and the Revelations railgun. The campaign is single-player and story-driven, with character interaction between firefights. A Requiem: Avenging Angel CD key gives you the Steam version, which is English only.
The game suits fans of late-1990s shooters and anyone curious about a cult classic with a religious sci-fi premise. Visit the Requiem: Avenging Angel Steam page for screenshots and reviews.
