Redfall is an open-world first-person shooter developed by Arkane Austin and published by Bethesda Softworks. It launched on May 1, 2023, for PC and Xbox Series X|S. The island town of Redfall, Massachusetts, is under siege by vampires who have blocked out the sun and cut the town off from the outside world.
You choose one of four heroes, each with their own abilities: cryptid hunter Devinder Crousley, telekinetic student Layla Ellison, ex-sniper Jacob Boyer and combat engineer Remi de la Rosa. You can play the story campaign alone or squad up with up to three other players in online co-op, with cross-platform multiplayer supported. Weapons, upgrades and abilities let you approach fights with stealth or open firepower while you explore the town and uncover the cause of the vampire outbreak.
Redfall had a mixed reception at launch, and Arkane Austin closed in 2024, so no new content is planned. It still appeals to co-op shooter fans looking for a cheap vampire-hunting campaign.
