What is Broken Age?

Broken Age is a hand-animated point-and-click adventure game developed by Double Fine Productions and designed by Tim Schafer, known for classics such as Grim Fandango and Day of the Tentacle. Act 1 launched on January 28, 2014, and the complete game, including Act 2, followed in 2015.

The project became famous before release. It was funded through a record-breaking crowdfunding campaign that helped prove players would back new adventure games directly.

The story follows two teenagers in strangely similar situations but very different worlds. Vella Tartine is chosen as a sacrifice to a monster in a village that has accepted its fate, while Shay Volta lives a lonely, overprotected life aboard a spaceship run by a smothering computer. You can switch between their stories at any time as both try to take control of their lives.

Broken Age features an all-star voice cast, including Elijah Wood as Shay, Masasa Moyo as Vella, Jack Black, Jennifer Hale, and Wil Wheaton. Its painterly visuals, humor, and puzzle-based gameplay make it family friendly and approachable for newcomers to the genre.

The game is available on PC, macOS, Linux, consoles, and mobile. Compare Broken Age key prices on CDKeyCompares and choose the best offer for your platform. For PC keys, follow our guide on how to activate your CD key.
