Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is an action-adventure game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft.

The story follows a young Prince who, after raiding an ancient city, obtains the Dagger of Time. When the Prince accidentally releases the Sands of Time, the inhabitants of the city are transformed into dangerous creatures. Alongside Farah, the daughter of a defeated Maharaja, the Prince must find a way to reverse the catastrophe.

The game is particularly famous for combining acrobatic movement with time manipulation. The Prince can run across walls, jump between platforms, swing from poles, climb structures, and navigate elaborate environments.

The Dagger of Time adds another important gameplay mechanic. Players can rewind time after making mistakes, giving them a chance to recover from failed jumps or dangerous situations. The dagger can also be used during combat to manipulate enemies and control the Sands.
