What is Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid?

Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid is a fighting game developed and published by nWay, released on Steam on September 24, 2019, and also available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. It brings together Rangers and villains from across the franchise's history, letting you pit classic and modern characters against each other in reimagined battles.

Matches use a 3 vs. 3 tag format, so you build a team of three fighters and swap between them mid-fight. The control scheme follows traditional fighting game inputs but uses a streamlined system with simplified commands, which makes it easy to pick up while still leaving room to learn combos and team synergy. You can fight locally on a shared screen, take on players online, or use Steam Remote Play Together to share a local match over the internet. Steam also lists cross-platform multiplayer, which helps keep matchmaking active. Extra fighters such as Scorpina, Poisandra and Dai Shi are sold as DLC.

It suits Power Rangers fans and newer fighting game players who want a lighter entry point than games such as Tekken 8. A Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid CD key unlocks the base roster; check the official Battle for the Grid website for roster updates.
