Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted is a tower defense strategy game developed by PopCap Games with The Lost Pixels and published by Electronic Arts. It is a remaster of the original 2009 Plants vs. Zombies and was released on October 23, 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2.

The core loop is simple to learn and hard to master. Zombies shamble across your lawn in lanes, and you plant defenders such as Peashooters, Wall-nuts, and Cherry Bombs to stop them before they reach the house. Sunflowers generate sun, the resource you spend on every plant, so balancing economy and defense is the key decision in each level.

Replanted keeps the original Adventure mode, which moves from day lawns to night, the pool, fog, and the roof, along with mini-games, puzzle levels, and survival challenges. The remaster upgrades the art for HD and modern screens and adds new content on top of the classic levels.

A major addition is local multiplayer. Two players can team up in split-screen co-op or face off in versus play on the same screen, and Steam's Remote Play Together lets a friend join online. The rest of the game can be played solo.

Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted suits newcomers looking for an easy entry into strategy games, as well as long-time fans who want the original campaign on current hardware. Its short levels and gentle difficulty curve also make it a good pick for families.
