Pioneers of Pagonia is a city-building and economic strategy game developed and published by Envision Entertainment, a studio founded by Volker Wertich, the creator of The Settlers. It entered Early Access on PC in December 2023 and reached its full 1.0 release on December 11, 2025.

You found settlements on islands covered by a mysterious fog, then grow them into working economies. Every step of production is visible, from foresters and farmers to smiths, with carriers moving goods along roads you plan. Bottlenecks show up on the map, so good logistics matters as much as expansion.

The game offers more than 60 building types and over 100 goods. Procedurally generated islands include scattered tribes you can befriend through trade and quests, plus bandits, Scavs, and mythical creatures that threaten your settlers. Combat is tactical, but a strong economy is what keeps your defenses supplied.

The 1.0 release adds a story campaign in which you play a navigator searching for the Tower of Visions. Shared co-op lets up to four players build and manage one settlement together, all trading, constructing, and planning at the same time.

Pioneers of Pagonia suits fans of classic Settlers-style builders, relaxed economic planning, and players who enjoy watching thousands of small workers bring a busy world to life.
