Ozymandias: Bronze Age Empire Sim is a turn-based 4X strategy game developed by The Secret Games Company and published by Goblinz Publishing with IndieArk. It released on October 11, 2022 for Windows PC and macOS through Steam.

The design strips classic 4X down to its core decisions. You expand borders, found cities in strong positions, and raise armies and fleets to hold territory. Each turn offers several opportunities, but you may pick only one and must complete its objective to claim the reward.

Combat is abstracted into a Power system, so you only move units rather than manage tactical battles. Victory conditions are randomized each match, and custom conditions let you tune games to your preferred style. A full game fits into one evening instead of many sessions, which makes it easy to try different empires and strategies without committing dozens of hours to a single campaign.

There are eight handmade maps covering Bronze Age regions around the world and 52 playable empires, each with traits that create different challenges. A short story campaign about explorer Gertrude Bell teaches the rules, and a data-driven AI competes without cheating.

Multiplayer uses simultaneous turns, so nobody waits for others. You can play live matches with short timers or asynchronous games with longer timers. Ozymandias suits strategy fans who enjoy Civilization-style planning but want shorter, cleaner matches, and it also works well as a first 4X for newcomers thanks to its small rule set.
