No Rest for the Wicked is an isometric action RPG developed and self-published by Moon Studios, the Austrian studio that made Ori and the Will of the Wisps. It launched in Steam Early Access on April 18, 2024 and continues to receive updates. The game is set on Isola Sacra, a hand-crafted island torn apart by plague, greed and a holy crusade, and you arrive as a Cerim, a holy warrior with the power to fight the Pestilence.
Combat is deliberate and Souls-like: every weapon has its own move set, stamina matters, and timing decides most fights against soldiers, creatures and bosses. Between battles you collect weapons, armor and runes, enchant gear, craft equipment and build up your own home in the town of Sacrament. The island changes over time, with new events, vendors and challenges appearing as days pass. Multiple difficulty options, called Realm Tiers, let you tune the challenge, and Moon Studios states there are no microtransactions.
Up to four players can share the full campaign in seamless online co-op. A No Rest for the Wicked CD key is a good fit for action RPG fans who enjoy tough combat, loot builds and a painterly world. Read the official Steam page for the latest patch notes.
