Nice Day for Fishing is a satirical yet heartfelt tribute to classic retro RPGs. Developed by FusionPlay and published by Team17, the game blends traditional fishing mechanics with deep RPG progression and combat.
From NPC to Hero: Play as Baelin, the iconic man of few words, as he rises to defend the town of Honeywood from an encroaching evil force.
Unique Fishing Combat: Forget passive waiting; here, fishing is a battle of precision timing, specialized baits, and magical spells like the "Dragon Slash" and "Defense Aura."
Town Restoration: Gather resources from shipwrecks and the deep to rebuild Honeywood. Each upgrade unlocks new merchants, better equipment, and unique quests from familiar VLDL characters like Greg the Garlic Farmer and Bodger.
Vast Exploration: Journey through the Honeywood Forest to the Azerim coast, discovering hidden caves and sunken treasures.
Deep Customization: Equip a variety of rods, hats, rings, and charms that allow you to build Baelin as a high-damage fighter or a resilient survivor.
Epic Boss Battles: Test your reflexes against massive "Boss Fish" that lurk in the darkest depths of the ocean.
VLDL References: Packed with inside jokes and cameos, including Bodger’s endless quest for his grandfather's hammer and Baradun’s "helpful" magical portals.
