Need for Speed: Payback shifts the series into a blockbuster cinematic direction. You switch between three distinct characters—Tyler (the Racer), Mac (the Showman), and Jess (the Wheelman)—each with unique skills tailored for specific mission types. The game features a massive open world inspired by Las Vegas, filled with diverse terrain from city streets to mountain passes and desert canyons. Central to the experience is the Derelict system, allowing you to find scrap parts in the wilderness and rebuild them into world-class "superbuilds." Whether you're outrunning the law or winning high-stakes drag races, every mission is a gamble where the winner takes all.
Three Playable Characters: Master different driving disciplines with Ty, Mac, and Jess to pull off complex heists and races.
Scrap to Supercar: Find abandoned chassis and parts across Fortune Valley to build your dream car from the ground up.
Action Movie Gameplay: Engage in intense scripted missions, including highway robberies, truck heists, and massive police chases.
Deep Customization: Fine-tune your car’s performance and visual style with the most comprehensive vanity and parts system in the series.
Risk vs. Reward: Place "Side Bets" on your own performance to multiply your winnings—or lose it all if you fail.
