Bannerlord is a unique blend of strategy and action-RPG. You start as a lone wanderer in a vast open world and rise through the ranks by engaging in trade, diplomacy, and brutal warfare. The game’s hallmark is its directional combat system, which requires skill and timing in first or third-person. In 2025, the game was significantly expanded with the War Sails DLC, which introduced naval warfare, sea-based village raids, and the new Northern Kingdom faction. Whether you are a merchant, a mercenary, or a king, the "Calradian Sandbox" ensures no two playthroughs are ever the same.
